Mount St. Mary Seminary; Emmitsburg, MD
Andrew Meyer grew up in Wahpeton and was homeschooled through high school. During that time, he began to consider the priesthood thanks to extensive involvement in parish life and serving Mass regularly. After graduating in 2013, he decided to attend the University of Mary in Bismarck, majoring in theology and philosophy. As a student, he was provided the opportunity visit Rome and the Holy Land. Throughout his time at U-Mary, the thought of the priesthood never completely left him. Ultimately, it was a strong devotion to the Eucharist and the love of liturgy that kept the flame of a vocation burning brightly. After graduating in 2017, he decided to enter the seminary to discern God's will more seriously. He is now at Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. He says that while he used to try to find his vocation in extraordinary ways, like through dramatic signs, the truth was that the small whisper of God's voice has directed him to where he is at today.
