Mass of Life and Thanksgiving. Bishop Folda will celebrate a Mass of Life and Thanksgiving for the Dobbs decision on Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m. at Sts. Anne and Joachim Church in Fargo. The Mass will be followed by a Post-Dobbs Prolife Strategy Meeting from 2:45 to 5 p.m. These events are intentionally planned on the same day as the Redeemed Eucharistic Conference so that those living out of the Fargo area may take in all the events that weekend.
A Post-Dobbs Prolife Strategy Meeting will be held Sept. 23 from 2:45 to 5 p.m. at Sts. Anne and Joachim Church in Fargo after the Mass of Life and Thanksgiving at 1:30 p.m. All priests are invited to attend and are encouraged to bring 2 to 4 parishioners who can help form a Walking with Mom’s in Need team in their parish. Scheduled presenters include Christopher Dodson from the ND Catholic Conference, Angela Wambach from the Fargo Women’s Care Center, Kris Haycraft from Catholic Charities, Colleen Samson from 40 Days for Life ND and Mary Pat Jahner from the St. Gianna’s Maternity Home. In addition, Walking with Mom’s in Need models from some parishes in the diocese will be presented. Attendees will learn the current legal situation in North Dakota, how various agencies are working together to help pregnant mothers and young families in need, and how parishes can network with these agencies and utilize their own local resources to help and accompany pregnant women and young families in their local area. RSVP to Tim Mosser at tim.mosser@fargodiocese.org so the correct number of information packets are available at the meeting.
