Frequently Asked Questions

Are meals included in the cost of registration?

In general, meals are not included with the registration cost.  However, because the children will not be at the same location as their parents during the lunch hour, we are providing lunch for those in the Children's Program.

Are there restaurants at the Scheels Arena?

No, but there are food vendors and concessions stands as well as a variety of restaurants in the surrounding area.

My child has food allergies; what will you be serving for lunch for the Children's Program?

We are serving corn dogs, chips, and fruit.  If your child has allergies to any of these, please contact us at 701-356-7900 to make alternate arrangements.

Why is the Children's Program being held offsite at Shanley High School instead of at the Scheels Arena?

The Children's Program was initially going to be at Scheels Arena but several months into the planning it was discovered that the intended site was not big enough to accommodate the staging for Cat.Chat.  The decision had to be made whether to cancel the Children's Program due to lack of space or to host it offsite.  Shanley graciously offered to host the program so that the children would also have an opportunity to participate in the day as well.  Buses have arranged to bring the children to their families at the Scheels Arena at 4:00 p.m. so that the whole family can join together for the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Holy Mass, and the family dance.

What is your procedure if my child needs me or has an emergency?

The coordinators of the Children's Program will have a form with parents' contact information.  The children will also be wearing wrist bands with their parents' names and cell phone numbers on them.  In the event of an emergency, we will contact you directly on the number you provide.

Can I pick my child up at the end of their program?  Do they have to take the bus?

Yes, you can pick your child up at any time.  However, if children are not picked up before the buses leave, they will be bused over to Scheels Arena.  All the volunteers will be accompanying the children on the buses over to Scheels Arena for Mass.

Can I just register my child for the conference and not attend the adult portion?

No, parents must also be signed up for the REDEEMED Conference at the Scheels Arena.

If I sign my child in at Shanley, do I also have to sign in once again at the Scheels Arena?

No, if you have a child ages 5-12, you will sign the whole family in at Shanley that morning.  You will not need to sign in once again at the Scheels Arena.

Can I bring my child to Shanley later in the morning?

Yes, but once the program begins, all the volunteers will be assisting the children.  Outside of the normally scheduled registration period, you will need to locate a volunteer to assist you and your child with check-in before your child will be able to join the program.

Is there a half-day price for registration?

No, all registrations cover the entire conference.

Can I just come for Mass without registering?

Yes, Mass is always open to the public.
