Life Issues Series
A helpful resource (PDF) for parents, families and friends who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or loss of child after birth. If you have immediate questions about the loss of a child, how to handle the remains of a loss, or what services can be offered for family members facing the loss of a child before birth, please contact your parish priest or the Respect Life Office at (701) 356-7910. Suggested materials to support families suffering from an early infant loss:
- Healing Together
- Miscarriage, a book for parents
- Mourning a Miscarriage
- Suffering a Stillbirth or Newborn Death
- Above resources available from Elizabeth Ministry International or order directly from the Respect Life Office.
The Naming Ceremony (PDF) is a ritual act to help those who are mourning the loss of a child to express their sorrow and to find strength and consolation through the gift of faith in Christ and His resurrection to eternal life.
