Center for Ministry Development
The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry is offering a workshop through Center for Ministry Development:
Families are the school of love and the place where children learn to live the truth of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. Parishes and Catholic Schools have an opportunity to connect families to the sacramental ministries as children and youth prepare for, celebrate, and live out the grace of the sacraments. This workshop will provide vision and practical resources for leaders to know, welcome, engage and empower parents as they share faith and sacramental life with their children. Topics include:
- Knowing and Welcoming Today's Families
- Engaging Families in Sacramental Ministries
- Empowering Family Faith Sharing, Service, and Prayer at Home
- Gathering Families and Supporting Parents
- Connecting Families with the Life and Ministries of the Parish
All leaders whose ministry touches the lives of children, adolescents, and families are invited to participate, including pastors, deacons, pastoral associates, principals, coordinators of faith formation, coordinators of youth ministry, catechists, teachers, sacramental preparation team members, leaders in initiation ministries, and liturgical ministry leaders.
