Middle School Youth Extravaganza
The Middle School Youth Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, October 14, at the St. John's Academy in Jamestown, ND. Students with chaperones are invited to attend this special day created just for middle school students. Amazing activities will be happening the entire day just for this age group! Students in Grades 6 through 8 are invited. One chaperone for every eight students please! Parish groups should fill in the registration form and send in a parish check to register your group and order your t-shirts. Registration forms will appear on this site soon.
Our theme for this event is 'Love your #selfie'. This is based on the bible verse Samuel 16:7. "The Lord does not look at things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
In other words, it is important for us to love ourselves like God loves us. Don't judge yourself or others by appearance. Look deeply into your heart and soul! Know who you are and love yourself!
Our keynote speaker, Stacey, will be highlighting the day. She is a very talented young lady who has quite the stories to tell about being on Broadway, having an acting and singing career and finally being led to Jesus Christ. Check out her YouTube video.
We will have Reconciliation available, Adoration during the day, a Eucharistic Procession (weather permitting), Mass, supper, and a dance.
